MRS. MINERVA CASTEEL
DIED - On July 2, 1908, Minerva Casteel, after a long life. She was born January 31, 1822.
She was united in marriage in early life to Jesse Casteel. To this union six children were born, three sons and three daughters, Edward, of this city, Urias, of Russell, and Silas, of St. Joseph, Mo. The daughters were Nellie, Minerva and Susan, the only one surviving being Nellie, who resides in Ohio. Her son Edward was the only one present when she expired.
The funeral was held on Saturday, conducted by Rev. W. S. McCollough, of the Presbyterian church. Thus her life work is done and the chapter is closed. She was a good woman and all is well with her in the great beyond.
