In Washington, Conn., on the 8th ult., Mrs. PHOEBE MITCHELL, aged 93 years. Mrs. Mitchell’s maiden name was Eliot, she was a descendant in the fifth generation of John Eliot the famous “Apostle to the Indians,” the widow of Abner Mitchell, and the mother of the late Dr. Mitchell, of the N. C. University.
