Funeral service will be held Friday, March 9, 2001 for 92-year-old Edith Marie Moore of Perryville who died Tuesday, March 6 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born on June 16, 1908 in Perryville, the daughter of the late John and Mary Cora (Brewer) Nienhaus.

She was married to Leonard E. Moore. He preceded her in death.

The following children survive: Eldon J. Moore of Perryville; Thomas L. Moore of Gladstone, Mo.; Shirley M. Schleper of Alton, Ill.; James F. Moore of Maryland Heights, Mo.; John E. Moore of Perryville; Mary E. Parres of Lake St. Louis; and Gene R. Moore of Bloomington, Ill.

Seventeen grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren also survive.

Four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

She was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer and Ladies Sodality.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 8 from 4-9 p.m. and Friday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. at Young and Sons Chapel. A Catholic wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday. The rosary will be recited Friday at 8:30 a.m.

Funeral Mass for Edith Marie Moore will be held Friday, March 9, 2001 at 10 a.m. at Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer. Rev. Felipe Martinez CM will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorial preference is to Masses or the American Diabetes Association.
