Funeral: 1p.m. Friday at First Church of the Nazarene, 1516 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Burial in Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale with visitation from 6 to 8p.m. Thursday at the First Church of the Nazarene. Arthur was born June 15, 1919, in Wilson, Okla., to Idabelle and Rice Camplain. A four-time cancer survivor, he passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.
On September 13, 1939, he married Cecile Maybell Dowdle and they were blessed with three children. He was employed at AE Camplain Contracting, which he owned and operated before retiring at the age of 52. He resided in Arlington for over 30 years, was a Mason and attended the First Church of the Nazarene for over 20 years. Arthur enjoyed woodworking, reading and had a passion for fishing and being outdoors.A loving father, tender and kind, what a beautiful memory he left behind.
Survivors: wife of 65 years, Cecile M. Camplain of Arlington; daughters, Margean Carman and husband, William, of Arlington, Bobbie Marie Gilbert and husband, James of Murieta, California, son, Stephen Camplain and wife, Margaret of Port Orange, Florida; sisters, Arlene Silver of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Evelyn Dowdle of Moriarty, New Mexico and Mildred Fisher of Recklaw, Texas; grandchildren, Karrie Cuevas, Sharon Carman, Marni DeLucia, Craig Camplain, Jodi Gilbert, Doug Carman, Amy Burchfield and Greg Gilbert; and great-grandchildren, Caitlin Camplain, John Terrell Cuevas, Joshua Burchfield, Meg Tipton, Sam Burchfield, Jacob Cuevas, Kyle Gilbert, Peyton Carman and CArly DeLucia.
