Vincent was the fourth of eleven children for John Calvin and Clara May (Hinshaw) Turnidge. He married Doris Scholze on Oct 3, 1931 in McMinnville, Oregon. They had three sons: Wayne; Keith; Bruce.

WILLAMINA - Vincent Jasper Turnidge, 85, died Thursday in Dallas.

He was born and raised in Willamina. He married Doris N. Scholze on Oct 3, 1931.

He worked in the Willamina Brick Plant in the 1930s before working at the Sweed Mill.

He later cut timber in the Willamina area until retiring in 1969.

His hobbies included hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Keith of Dallas and Bruce of Willamina; sisters, Goldie Mendenhall of Sheridan, and Myrtle Miller and Dorothy Fouts, both of Port Angeles, Wash.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will begin at 10 A.M. Tuesday in Adamson's Mortuary, Sheridan.

Interment will follow at Greencrest Cemetery, Sheridan. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
