note: double marker with Hettie Cummings

His obit lists his burial in Albany Rural Cemetery in New York (see #44954266), however often times the family will change their minds and I do not know where he is buried as Wesleyan records are missing lots of info. Hettie has no date listed on her stone, but since she died about 20 yrs after Tenny, it is possible that there was no family or funds to have her date inscribed on her part of the tombstone --- note from dhintx #47160808

TENNIS W. WADE DEAD

Intelligence has reached this city of the death of Dennis W. Wade, which occurred Dec. 13 at his home at Pickshill N.Y. He was born in Covington, Ky., March 31, 1844, the son of William and Eliza (Lennis) Wade, was educated at public schools of his native place and was ready for college when the Civil Ware broke out. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the Eleventh Kentucky Cavalry, U.S.A. He received a wound in the leg which troubled him the balance of his life.

Leaving the army, he went into the Internal Revenue service. It was this service which brought him to Pickshill at the Fleischmann plant about five years ago. He was one of the founders of the G.A.R. post at Covington. His only other fraternity was Masonry. [unclear, possibly just a type setting problem] He was a Knight Templar, a member of Golden Rule Lodge of Covington. In 1869 he was named [probably intended to be "married" not "named"] Hetty Cummins, who survived him.

The interment was at Rural Cemetery, Albany, N.Y.
