At the residence of Mrs. D. Diael, Washington township. Dec. 13, 1881, 1531. Mrs. Permelia Long Evans, wife of R. F. Evans of Andersen county. Mrs. Evans had been for several years under medical care for Pulmonary consumption and had returned from an extended trip to Nebraska with her husband only one week previous to her death which resulted from excessive hemorrhage of the lungs. Deceased was born in Jackson county West Virginia and removed while a young girl with her parents to Laporte county, Indiana, where In 1843 she married the kind partner of her life with whom she lived in happiness till called away by death. She leaves but one child, Mrs. Dihil, to mourn the loss of her mother, the eldest and four youngest having gone before. Mr. Evans is an old citizen of this county and has a large circle of friends to sympathize with him in his great less.
