Mr. Carmack was a resident of the Nile district and died at Wade's Nursing Home in Yakima. He was a member of the Naches Presbyterian Church and survived by two sons and three daughters. He was an apple orchardist and a member of the Nile school board for many years. His father was Emmanuel George Carmack and paternal grandparents Allen Carmack and Sarah Daughtery. His mother was Hannah Goodwin and maternal grandparents Abner Connely Goodwin and Mary Catherine Gardner.
