Dr. N. E. Cashin, one of this sections best known Negro residents and a practicing physician here for the past 35 years died this morning at a hospital in Birmingham.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, at 2:30 o'clock at Kings Memorial Methodist Church, West Lafayette and McCartney Street.
Dr. Cashin's father the late H. V. Cashin was a widely known attorney here for many years having been the only negro member of the North Alabama bar.
Dr. Cashin completed his preparatory work at Phillips-Exeter Academy in New Hampshire and later received his doctor of Medicine degree at Howard University, Washington DC. He returned to his native Decatur and began the successful practice of his profession.
