Betty Sue Rutherford, 81, went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2010.

The family received friends at 6 p.m. and services were held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Countryside Baptist Church in Dover. A graveside funeral service will be at Macedonia Cemetery, Madison, on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Countryside Baptist Church, Video Ministry at 13422 Sydney Road, Dover, FL 33527.

Betty was born May 18, 1928 in Sardis, Tenn., to Vinous and Julia Redding. She is a Christian and member of Countryside Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed being with her family and friends. She enjoyed studying the Bible, attending church, Southern gospel music and filling her childhood dream of traveling to different parts of the country.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Leon Conway, and sister, Margie Koharik of Benton, Ark. She is survived by two sisters, Virginia Williams of Wiggins, Miss., and Jeanie Bass of Bryant, Ark.

She is survived by her husband, Donnie; four daughters, Linda and Julia of Mobile, Ala., Ann (Kevin) of Brandon, and Donna of Tampa; and three sons, Tommy (Sandi) of Jacksonville, Ark., Michael (Dyna) of San Antonio, Texas; and Bobby (Kattie) of Fort Lauderdale. Direct descendants are seven children, 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren (total of 54). There are 126 other surviving family members within the Redding and Rutherford families. Interment in the family lot in Macedonia Cemetery, Madison, Florida.
