William and Mary Ann had 8 children together, they married on the 6th of January 1834 in Raleigh, Essex, England.

William, his wife Mary Ann and their children, Sarah, Susan, Benjamin, James and Mary Ann sailed on the ship "Underwriter" April 23, 1861 to America. George, the oldest son stayed in
England. John had sailed to America earlier in 1856 and William Alfred a year after that to live in Iowa.
