John William Hymas, 94, of 290 Clark street in Green River, passed away early Tuesday morning at the home of his son Acie, following a lengthy illness. It is believed he is Green River's oldest person.

Mr. Hymas was born Feb. 22, 1865, at Liberty, Ida., the son of John A. and Mary Ann Pitman Hymas. He was the second child born in Bear Lake County, Idaho.

Mr. Hymas was married to Rosa Lee Orr, July 16, 1886, in the Logan temple at Logan, Utah. Twelve children were born to this union. His wife preceded him in death on Dec. 23, 1951, at Rupert, Idaho.

For the past five years, Mr. Hymas had been making his home with his son Acie. Last year he suffered a hip fracture in a fall and had been confined to bed ever since.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. L. W. Jensen and Mrs. R. C. Lindsay of Rupert, Mrs. R. V. Sheen of Burley, Mrs. Lloyd Hansen of Boise; three sons, Acie of Green River, Milford of Rexburg, and Sidney Hymas, Twin Falls. Forty-four grandchildren; 135 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Friends may call at the Francom Mortuary Friday from 2 p. m. until 9 p. m. The body will be taken to Rupert, Ida., Saturday morning for funeral services which will be held at 3 p. m. at the LDS tabernacle in Rupert.

Burial will be in the Rupert City cemetery under the direction of the Francom Mortuary of Green River.
