Funeral services for Mr. Joseph C. Pickering will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2010 in the Rush Chapel, Glenmora with Larry Farris officiating. Interment will follow in Butters Cemetery, Forest Hill under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Glenmora.
Mr. Pickering, 73, of Glenmora entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 8, 2010 in his residence.
Joseph was a veteran of the United States Air Force and an avid hunter.
He was preceded in death one grandson and one great grandson.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his wife of thirty-nine years, Myrtle K. Pickering of Glenmora; two step-sons, Larry Farris and his wife, Patsy of Glenmora and Ricky Farris and his wife, Liz of Cotile; one brother, Shelby Pickering of Pitkin; three sisters, Donna Doyle and her husband, Vernon of Oakdale, Dorothy Snell and her husband, Lester of Pitkin and Joyce Pickering of Beaumont, Texas; four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
