OBIT: Mrs. Holmes, 78, Called By Death

Mrs. Katherine C. Holmes, 78, 2925 Glendora Ave., Cincinnati, died at 11am Saturday in her home after having been in failing health for 16 months.

Born in Hamilton, March 31, 1876, she was the daughter of Christian and Mary Eichem Schultheiss. In 1900, she was married to William Holmes in Camden, Ark., where he was editor of a newspaper. He preceded her in death in 1928.

Mrs. Holmes leaves four sisters, Mrs. Barbara Zihlman, Hamilton, Mrs. Mary Hauser, Cincinnati, Mrs. Lillian Greissinger, Norwood, and Mrs. Bernice Holden, Cleveland; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with the Rev. Oscar C. Jenkins, pastor of the Lindenwald Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6pm Monday.
