Mr. Alfred was born on April 15, 1916, in the Center Hill community of Houston County to Richard and Elzona Padgett Alfred and passed away on January 20, 2003 in Conroe.

A long-time resident of Pasadena, he moved to the Conroe area following his retirement as a machinist/toolmaker.

Mr. Alfred was a member of the Asbury Methodist Church of Pasadena and attended the Bible Baptist of Conroe.
