Born December 18, 1918 in Atlanta, Texas to Charles and Mary Lester, moved to Sacramento, California in 1954. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Josephine O. Lester and many brothers and sisters. Loving father to Sam Lester, Charles Lester, Weaver Lester Jr., Freddie Sudduth, Virginia Smith, Jeanette Getchell, Gary Lester, Ray Childress, Sue Jankowski and Sandra Beaty. Also survived by 38 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. The family invites you to attend a visitation 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2000, and a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2000, at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd., Sacto, Ca, 922-5833.
