William M. Hawkins, 1328 Carroll Street, a salesman died in St. Joseph Hospital here at 10:50 o'clock Tuesday evening after five months' illness of heart trouble, seven weeks of which had been spent in the hospital.
He was born July 11, 1864 in Pike County, Mo., the son of John and Betty Hawkins and came to Keokuk fifteen years ago. He had been a lunch room proprietor.
He married Alice Riney in 1885, at St. Patrick, Mo. Five children were born, one of whom preceded him in death. He was a member of St. Mary's Church of Keokuk.
Funeral services will be held in St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in St. Patrick, Mo.
