Walter (Phil) Pyles, 80, of Greensburg passed away at home on May 7.

He was born on June 26, 1928.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents Elsie Land-Jones and Roy Pyles, his siblings Sheryl Herbert, Roger and Jerry Jones.

He is survived by a wife, Marion, his sister Shelby Neville, brother-in-law Hugh Neville and his aunt Pansy Cummins. His children Ronald (Stella) Pyles, Mandy (Matt) Yager, Brandy (Martin) Thomas and Jon Pyles. His grandchildren are Shelly Pyles, Blake, Emma, Gabe and Mylee Yager and Riley Thomas. His nieces Lisa Carmony, Lora Hadler, and Randisa Peyton. His great nieces Bobbi Jo Kinder, Courtney Carmony, Ashley and Larami Hadler. His great nephew Derek Carmony. His great great niece Bailey Kinder and his great great nephew Grayson Carmony.

Phil served in the Marines from 1946 to 1948. He was a devoted member of St. Mary's Church in Greensburg. Donations may be made to the St. Mary's building campaign for church and school fund in Phil's honor.
