John was the son of Henry and Edith (Kisling) Schrenk. He had been a resident of River Grove for 36 years and had been a resident of Elgin since 1988. Survivors include his wife Pauline, three daughters, 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and four brothers.
