Mrs. Bitner the oldest child of Joe and Laura Higginbotham, was born July 11, 1926, at the home of her maternal grandparents, Leonard Hampton (Stell) and Elizabeth Spence Sharp, on the Sharp family farm near Crockett, Texas.
