Ida M. Zediker was born at Mapleton, Iowa, May 6, 1870 and died at her home in Cooper Township, Saturday, January 9, 1904, aged 33 years, 8 months and 3 days.

The deceased was the daughter of J.A. and Clarissa Heisler, and her entire life was spent in this vicinity. She was married to A.B. Zediker, December 25, 1884 and was the mother of eight children, seven of whom, with their father, are left to mourn her sad departing. They are Bertha May, Allie Pearl, Orashia John, Geo. Ambrose, Grant Jefferson, Clarissa Elizabeth , Lawrence Sherman.

No greater sorrow can come to a family of children than the loss of a loving mother, and while to the husband the loss may seem greater than he can bear, it is the family of little ones whose bereavement is most pitiable and deserving of the greatest sympathy. Her death was due to liver and kidney trouble.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday from the home by Rev. Martin and the remains laid to rest in Heisler cemetery, followed by a long procession of friends and relatives.
