Our beloved father, husband, granddaddy, brother, uncle and friend, Douglass F. Bennett died January 27, 2001 at his home in North Carolina at the tender age of 73 as a result of a heart attack.

Born April 15, 1927 to Dilbert Riley and Claire Mildred Bennett.

Married Geraldine Bachelor, later divorced. Married Joyce Strickland in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Retired from Utah Power and Light. Worked in various callings in the church throughout his life.

Survived by his wife; children: Bryan (Lisa) Bennett; Katrina (Michael) Messier; Roger (Andrea) Bennett; stepchildren, who he thought of as his own: Lynda (Donald) Hulsizer; Brenda Sue Johnson; Gary Ritzman; Bob (Sharon) Ritzman; Martha (Clark) Warmoth; Tammy (Alan) Battles; brothers and sisters: Farlene Tallant, Mildred Waddell, Loyal (Dorothy) Bennett, George Earl (Renee) Bennett, Lola Rees; half brother, Dell Bennett; many grandchildren and great-grand-children. Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ivaloo; brothers, Lloyd, Delbert and Norman.

Services will be held in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001 at noon in the Central Park North Ward Chapel, 2700 S. 304 E. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment at Redwood Memorial Estates.
