Paul Stangle
DEMOTTE--Services for Paul Stangle, 72, retired DeMotte High School principal and teacher who died unexpectedly Saturday while vacationing in Lake Wales, Fla., will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Todd Funeral Home.

Born July 30, 1900, in Monticello, he came here from Westville and was an area resident 29 years.

He married Treava Cook on Aug. 25, 1925 in Lincoln, Ind. She died in 1967.

The son of Liamos {Larimore} and Rose (Turnipseed) Stangle, he was a member of United Methodist Church, the Retired Teachers Association and Keener Senior Citizens.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Barbara) Hoffman of Lowell; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a son, H. Eugene.

The Rev. Richard Gongwer will officiate at services, and burial will be in Indian Creek Cemetery near Winamac. Friends may call from this afternoon until services.
