Death claimed Mrs. Malinda Louisa Rogers Fickling at her home in Newcastle. Services were held in the Assembly of God Church in Newcastle with Brother Hugh Wray officiating. She moved with her husband and family to Young County in 1882 and has lived in this vicinity since then. She was preceded in death by two daughters and her husband. Survived by seven daughters and three sons; 65 grandchildren; 75 great-gandchildren.
