CLARENCE GILBERT RITES SATURDAY AT OSAGE CHURCH
Osage---Clarence Gilbert, 84, died Thursday at his home here. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Christian Missionary and Alliance Church. The Rev. Melvin Hatt will officiate. Burial will be in Osage Cemetery with Champion Funeral Home in charge.
Born near Orchard, June 4, 1877, he was the son of George and Jane Gilbert. He was married to Elizabeth Minnis, April 9 1903. A lifetime resident of the area, he had retied from farming.
Surviving are his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Ray (Ruth) Williams, Waterloo; Mrs. Casper (May) Nielsen, Grand Meadow, Minn.; Mrs. Leonard (Ona) Butler, Rudd; five sons, Alan, Van Nuys, Calif.; Grant, Miani, Fla.; John, Osage; Max, Geentown, Ind.; Lawrence, rural Osage; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son.
