David Hahn, 79, West Lafayette, Ind., died Thursday, May 2, 1991, at 11:36 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was seriously ill for four months.

He was born in Rush County, near Clarksburg, Ind., on July 24, 1911. Hahn owned the Hahn and Fry Service Station in Greensburg from 1936 to 1946. He was in the automobile business for 30 years and owned the Crofertsburg Hahn Dealership from 1953 to 1958.

Hahn is survived by his wife, Verna Eichacker, whom he married on Nov. 20, 1937. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in west Lafayette and a life member of the Knights of Columbus, the Linden Conservation Club and the National Riflemen's Association.

Other survivors include one son, Gary Hahn; one daughter, Karen Crosby; one brother, Fritz Hahn; two sisters, Leona Dwenger and Mary Pate and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be at the Hahn Funeral Home in Lafayette on Sunday, May 5, from 2 to 5 p.m. Mass will be at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 6. The Rev. David Douglas will be officiating.

Burial will be in South Park Cemetery.
