Hobert "Hobe" L. Colbaugh, 78, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, in Woods Memorial Hospital.

He was a member of Decatur First Baptist Church. He volunteered at Bowers Funeral Home for several years, he retired from Dillard Smith Construction after 21 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mattie Moses Colbaugh; brothers, Wesley Colbaugh, Cliff Colbaugh and John Colbaugh; sisters, Annie Hendricks and Agnes Colbaugh.

He is survived by his wife Ruby Martin Colbaugh, of Decatur, TN; one son, Douglas Colbaugh, of Decatur, TN; and girlfriend, Lisa Jones, of Philadelphia, TN; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Fred Stewart, of Decatur, TN, Debbie and Mike Bailey, of Cleveland, TN; one brother and three sisters-in-law, Ben and Virginia Colbaugh, of Columbia, TN, Roxie Colbaugh, of Cleveland, TN, and Robbie Downs, of Chattanooga, TN; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Lottie King, of Decatur, TN, Joyce and Charles Smith, of Dayton, TN, Pat and Wayne Goforth, of Decatur, TN; five grandchildren, Crystal Wade, Leahan and Jerrad Harmon, all of Decatur, TN, Lessie Bailey of Cleveland, TN, David Stewart, of Mountain City, TN and Mendy Stewart, of Knoxville, TN.

Funeral service will be at 8 p.m. today, April 8, 2010 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Craig Dale, Dr. Keith Goforth and Paul "Yogi" White officiating.

Interment will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2010 at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. today, April 8, 2010 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Jay Moses, Dewayne Colbaugh, Harvey Keeler, Tim Dixon, Danny Smith, Slim "J.B." Newman.

Honorary Pallbearers: Men's Sunday School Class of Decatur First Baptist Church.
