nyshistoricnewspapers.org SULLIVAN COUNTY RECORD May 21 1931 page 5: "Mrs Minnie Ballrd, 75, died at her home near Clalicoon Center Tuesday night May 19 following a stroke on Saturday which left her unconsious.
Funeral held from the house at 2 p.m. next Saturday with service in the North Branch Church and Intement beside her husband.
Brand and Son of Jeffersonville in charge.
Born in North Banch February 18 1856 daughter of Squire Conrad Beringer and Dorothy Pillon, natives of Germany.
Married Woodworth Ballard Thankgiving Day 1875.
They lived on the Ballard farm at North Branch for some years and 39 years ago located on the Becker farm on the Jeffersonville Callicoon Center Road.
Woodworth died December 21 1898.
Leaves 7 daughters - Mrs Ella Pohlman of Brooklyn, Mrs Leona Tasse of Liberty, Mrs Bertha Poley of North Branch, Mrs Linnie Kilroy at home, Mrs Minnie Keiser of Roscoe,Mrs Cora Lathan of Brooklyn and Mrs Edith Davis of Callicoon Center.
Also leaves 2 brothers Henry W Geringer ofLIberty and Charles of Elizabeth, NJ, 25 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren."
