Mrs. Matilda Marie Sterosky, 61, wife of William Sterosky and resident of Port Huron 54 years, died today in Port Huron Hospital after a long illness. She was born Dec. 3, 1884, in Danzig, Germany.

She was a member of the League of Catholic Women, J. Charles Phillips auxiliary No. 12, USWV, St. Joseph's branch No. 413, LCBA, Port Huron circle No. 371, Daughters of Isabella, Rosary Society of St. Joseph's church, Christian Mother's society of St. Joseph's church and the Ladies Arbeiter society.

She is survived by her husband and two sons, Norbert A. and William J. Sterosky Jr., all of Port Huron; five daughters, Mrs. Norman S. Armstrong, Mrs. Elmo A. Kemp, and Mrs. Wyman H. Kelly, all of Port Huron; Mrs. Thomas S. Hyde, Jeddo and Cpl. Cunegunde M. Sterosky, USMC Women's Reserve at Cherry Point, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. John and Mrs. Stanley Church, both of Port Huron and Mrs. Floyd Wygent, Saginaw; four brothers, Theodore, Albert, Leo and Frank Borowski, all of Port Huron, and 20 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Catholic church. Rt. Rev. Msgr. Thomas A Connell, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery. The remains are in the family home, 1321 Division street.
