Oscar Clouthier Sr., 88, Palatine Bridge RD 2, died Wednesday afternoon at St. Mary's Hospital following a short illness. Born Dec. 14, 1894 in Wells, the son of Paul and Harriet Freemont Clouthier, in his early years he was a self-employed dairy farmer in the Town oi Canajoharie and in 1950 went to work for the state Department of Public Works in Fonda, retiring in 1965. Mr. Clouthier was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Fort Plain, and an avid outdoor sman. Surviving are his widow, the former Mary Trembley, whom he married March 17, 1930; four daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Marie) Mowrey, Mrs. Richard (Janet) Waner, and Mrs. Nancy Costello, all of Canajoharie, and Mrs. William (Diana) Klump, Schenectady; six sons, Henry Clouthier, Homes Beach, Fla., Clayton Clouthier, Roseboom, Richard and Robert Clouthier, both of Canajoharie, Eugene Clouthier of Latham, and Oscar Clouthier, Jr., Fort Plain; 25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial was held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church with Rev, John Roos as celebrant. Interment will be in Fort Plain Cemetery at a later date. The Rosary was recited Friday, 8:15 p.m., at the Gray Funeral Home, Fort Plain. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mid-Coun
