Funeral services for Olen Denson, 65 of 904 Jackson, Houston, were held
Wednesday, October 11, at 1:30 p.m. in the Evergreen Chapel, Percilla, and
burial followed in the Evergreen Cemetery, Rev. H. G. Smith and Rev. W. H.
Weiting officiated. Nephews served as pallbearers.
A retired government employee, Mr. Denson was born in Houston County on
Oct. 3, 1902, and was a son of the late William Edward Denson and Mrs.
Nancy Elizabeth Dotson Denson. He died Monday, Oct. 9, in Houston following
a sudden illness.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Norma Jean Cottrell of Houston; three
brothers, Harvey Denson of Grapland, Marvin and Clarence Denson, both of
Houston; two sistes Mrs. Lottie Salmon of Houston, and Mrs. Ernest Foster of Grapeland; a grandson.
Arrangements were by Hassell & Foster.
