James was a Confederate Civil War veteran who was with
Company E Fourth Regiment Calvary of the Kentucky
Volunteers Confederate Army. This regiment served
with General John Hunt Morgan of Morgan's Calvary Brigade.
He became a prisoner of war in Ohio and
was paroled on April 30, 1865.

James was/is my great-grandfather.
