MRS. LILLIE DRUMMOND DALE PASSES
Mrs. Lillie Drummond Dale, age 83 years, widow of the late Mr. R. B. Dale, died at her home in the Red House Community Saturday night about 10:30. She had been ill with an attack of flu, but from all appearances was recuperating satisfactorily, when she suddenly grew worse and passed away.
Funeral services were held from the Whitesand Baptist Church Tuesday at 2:30 with her pastor, Rev. Joe Hudson in charge, assisted by Dr. W. L. Sewell, pastor of the Prentiss Baptist Church. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Dale was a good woman, and dearly beloved by all who knew her. She was gentle, kind and true, and though she sacrificed to rear her large family and give them the educational advantages she felt they should have, it was not sacrifice to her, but just love in action. She was a devout Christian and a devoted member of her church.
Immediate survivors are the following children: Wallace Dale, Purvis; Cowsert and Bond Dale, Prentiss; Myles Dale, San Antonio, Texas; Col. Sebron S. Dale, University of Michigan.
