She moved with her family to Young County in 1888. She had lived in Newcastle most of her life until moving to Olney in 1973. Mrs. Gibbs was a homemaker and member of the First Christian Church.
Survived by one nephew - J.L. Foxworth of Dallas.
Her sister, Frances married Walter L. Foxworth.
