Lucas Hilt, 74, Cascade, a Cascade county rancher for over 40 years, died here Tuesday evening at a local hospital.
Hilt, who was born in Germany Aug. 5, 1884, immigrated to this country in 1892. He lived in the midwest before coming to Cascade county in 1918. He ranched in the Belt and Cascade areas until his retirement about three years ago. His wife, Eva died in 1953.
Survivors include four sons, Edward Hilt, of Cascade, Pete Hilt, of Great Falls, Anthony Hilt, of Lincoln, Neb., and Phil Hilt, of Dillon; three daughters, Mrs. Jesse Keyes and Mrs. Robert Young, both of Cascade, and Margaret Hilt of Spokane.
