Mrs. Bessie May Buracker, 68, widow of Emmett Buracker, of Ida section of Page County, died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 15th at her home after being ill since January 1st. Born in Page County on October 24, 1892, she was a daughter of the late Philip Jenkins and Lucy May Thomas Jenkins. She was a member of the Bethlehem Christian Church.
In 1910 she was united in marriage with Emmett Buracker who preceded her in death on July 13, 1943.
Mrs. Buracker is survived by five sons, Carl Buracker, Trenton Buracker, George Buracker, Dewey Buracker and John Buracker and three daughters, Mrs. Lucy Weaver, Mrs. Elizabeth Weaver and Mrs. Vada Campbell, all of Luray. Two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Berry of Stanley and Mrs. Lizzie Broyles of Kearneysville, W.Va.; two brothers, Son Jenkins and Newton Jenkins of Stanley, also survive her as do seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. The Rev. O.L. Martin officiated at the last rites at one o'clock Monday afternoon, July 17th in the chapel of the Bradley Funeral.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
