Gertrude S. Beittel, 92, 54 S. West Street, Carlisle, died Wednesday afternoon in Carlisle Hospital.
She was born Sept. 6, 1886, in Columbia, Pa., and resided in Carlisle for the last 44 years.
She was the widow of the late Benjamin Beittel and was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.
She is survived by four sons, Cleon A. Beittel, Mount Lena, Md.; Benjamin L. Beittel, Carlisle; James Beittel, Oak View, Calif.; and Clifford A. Beittel, Carlisle; one daughter, Anna Panther, Sierra Vista, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Ewing Bros. Funeral home, 630 S. Hanover St., with the Rev. Dr. Gerald D. Kauffman officiating.
Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery. There will be no viewing.
Memorial contributions may be made to the South Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Heart Association, 2915 Wayne St., Harrisburg.
