Miss Elizabeth Spicer Curry attended Methodist Deaconess National College (aka Kansas City National Training School for Deaconesses & Missionaries) in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri. On April 2, 1909 she was consecrated as a deaconess. She became a teacher and for a time lived at Fisk Hall (Fisk National Training School) in Kansas City.

About 1944, she moved to the state of Arizona, residing there for 14 years until her death in 1958, the day after Christmas at 10:00 a.m. She died of complications of pneumonia in the Williams Hospital, at the age of 86. Cremation was done on Dec. 29, 1958 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona at Greenwood Memorial Park Funeral Home. Her ashes were shipped to Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, Los Angeles County, California and placed in a niche on Feb. 18, 1959. Unknown if there is a "tablet" at her space/niche # 14066 with her name and dates.
