He was the son of Oscar G. and Ida E. Clark Brumbach. He graduated from Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster, PA in 1923 where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from the Lancaster Theological Seminary in 1926. He was pastor of Christ Reformed Church, Lykens, PA, 1926-1928; Bloomsburg Reformed Church, 1927-1933; Uniontown Charge, Pillow, PA 1933-1940; Christ Evangelical and Reformed Church, Littlestown, PA 1940-1950 and St. John's United Church of Christ,Bangor, PA 1950-1967. He married Margaret E. Keefer of Bloomsburg, PA on July 30, 1930. They had a daughter, Audrey. He was active in the Masonic lodges. He was the author of "History of Christ Reformed Church (Evangelical and Reformed) 1746-1947, (nr.) Littlestown, PA." 1947.
