Services for Edna M. Case of Rt. 4 Box 621 will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, in the Balko Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Townsend officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Balko under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.
Mrs. Case died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1993, in Rosewood Care Center at the age of 87. Memorials may go to the charity of one's choice.
She was born Dec. 3, 1905, in Goltry to Joseph [sic]B. and Matilda (Buller) Unruh. She moved to Balko as a child and graduated from high school. She married Gurley R. Case in Liberal, Kan., Nov. 18, 1924.
After her marriage, the family farmed in Beaver County, and during World War II, they lived in Portland, Ore., returning to Balko after the war.
Mrs. Case was a member of the Balko Baptist Church and was a homemaker and a Sunday school teacher. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and one daughter, Virgie Lou Williamson.
Survivors include one daughter Lavada (Case) Weilmuenster and her husband, Richard, of Stillwater; one brother, Elmer D. Unruh of Perryton, Texas; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
