A funeral Mass will be conducted by the Rev. Daniel Kelly at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 9900 Thomas Nelson Highway, Lovingston, VA 22949. Inurnment will follow at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
Born on July 23, 1913, in Amsterdam, N.Y., he was a son of the late Charles Bucci and Maria Cervera Bucci.
Mr. Bucci served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II, attaining the rank of captain. He served in the Asian Pacific theater and participated in action against the Japanese forces at Tulagi, Guadalcanal, and was awarded a Purple Heart Medal.
Mr. Bucci was a retired probation officer for Ventura County, Calif.
While living in Grass Valley, he was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Louanne Bucci of Arrington, Va.; and Matthew Bucci of Arrington and Vincent Bucci of Los Angeles, CA.
