Ruth Sarah Elizabeth Bailey was one of 13 children to Thomas Jefferson & Sarah Elizabeth (Kerr) Bailey. She married George Washington Bailey July 26th, 1919 at her parent's home in Wheeler County, Texas. She and her husband, George, had 4 children: Alice Maudel Saye, TJ Saye (His name was just TJ, the intials of his mother's father), Leonard Ruel Saye & James Dean Saye. Ruth, her husband, George, and 3 sons later moved to Montana, leaving their deceased daughter, Alice Maudel behind. After the death of her husband, she remained in their home in Wibaux, Wibaux Co., Montana George had bought after her retired from ranching. She remained there for several years, then decided she wanted to move back to McLean, where a large number of her brothers & sisters still lived. During this time she would travel to vist her son, James & grandchildren in Montana, and her son, Leonard & grandchildren in Las Vegas, Nevada. After reaching an age she was unable to live alone, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to live with her son, Leonard & his family. Dorothy cared for her until her health was failing, and then Ruth moved in with Leonard's youngest daughter, Janelle, who cared for her until they had no choice but to put her in a home for medical reasons. Ruth died 9 weeks & 9 days short of being 100 years old, on her father's birthday. She was laid to rest next to her husband, George; her daughter Alice and her son, James in their Saye Family plot. Ruth preceeded her 2 sons TJ & Leonard; their 9 grandchildren: Shannon "Poco" son of TJ & Elise Mae "Shug" (King) Saye; Patricia Ann, Troy Len & Janelle Rae children of Leonard & Dorothy Ann (Schaffer) Saye; and Pamela Elaine, Paula Sue, Steven Curtis, Stuart Dean & Shree Etta, children of James & Barbara Etta (Nelson) Saye; and several great grandchildren.
