Bessie V. Augustine Chester, 88, formerly of Montgomery, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 1994 at Countryside Healthcare Centre. She was born on January 24, 1906 in Aurora, the daughter of Herbert and Lillian (Krause) Harroun.
She was a member of Park Place Baptist Church and a former resident of Sunnymere.
Survivors include one son, Richard (Madeline) Augustine of Sandwich; one daughter, Nancy (William) Buckley of Montgomery; 10 grandchildren, Linda (Michael) Leonard of Aurora, Susan (Rene) Spanu of Plano, David (Claire) Augustine of Bolingbrook, Diane (Gary) Wildy of Aurora, Todd 9therese) Augstine of Geneva, Paula Mode of Aurora, Daniel Brinkman of Elmwood Park, Christine (Michael) O’Malley of Medford, Oregon, Julie (Robert Reaumond of Lake Forest, John (Dana) Brinkman of Aurora; 19 great grandchildren; one great grandson; three step-children, Donovan (Judy) Chester of Aurora, George Chester of Sycamore and Marsha (Richard) Doemland and eight step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Augustine; her second husband, Edward Chester; her parents; one brother, Everett in 1986 and one sister, Addie.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 1994 at 1 p.m. at Park Place Baptist Church with Pastor Jan Duszak officiting. Interment will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park.
Visitation will be on Friday at 10 a.m. until time of service at Park Place Baptist Church.
Contributions in Mrs. Chester’s memory may be made to Park Place Baptist Church.
Funeral arrangements were handled by The Healy Chapel.
