Alfred F. "Al" Kazan died on Friday. April 2, 2010 at The Eliot Healthcare in Natick.

He was 86 years old and had lived previously in Melrose and Needham.

Mr. Kazan was a United States Navy World War II veteran. After the war, Al and his wife June operated June's Kitchen in Cambridge for many years. Al owned and operated Kazan Construction in Melrose. He was a member of the Masons of which he was very proud. Mr. Kazan was a member and Past Commander of the Polish American Veterans of Cambridge.

The beloved husband of the late June (Tarabelli), he was the loving father of Kathleen "KK" Dirickson of Novato CA. Brother of the late Irene Beckett. Joseph M. Charles, Henry Kazukiewicz, Clementine Faria, Jennie Dyer and Blanche Terrio. Uncle of Carl Tarabelli and his family of Needham as well as many other nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue Needham on Monday, April 5 at 12 Noon. Visiting will be held from 11 AM to 12 Noon prior to the service. Interment with Military Honors at Needham Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations in Al's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St Watertown MA 02472.



Mr. Kazan served in Co. M, 3rd Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, WWII, Pacific Theater of Operations.
