Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Johnson-Reese Chapel in Newton. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Johnson-Reese Chapel after noon Thursday.
Surviving is his wife, Doris.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, three brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Wheatcraft, a member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church, farmed until 1933 when he was employed ay Midwest Metal Stamping Co. He retired in 1965.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. James Wheatcraft, he was born June 9, 1900 on a farm near Killduff and was educated in Jasper County schools.
