Earl Alexander Lamb, age 98 of Stillwater went to join his wife, other relatives and friends in Heaven Sunday evening, March 21, 2010 in Cushing, Oklahoma. His funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater and will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon, March 27, 2010 in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel with Interment to follow in the Morris Heights Cemetery west of Stillwater. Visitation for Mr. Lamb will be held from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday all at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater. Earl was born on March 26, 1911 in Goodnight, Oklahoma and was the son of Nathaniel L. and Eva May(Plummer) Lamb. He grew up and attended school at Goodnight. He then moved to the Stillwater area where he lived most of his adult life. On July 13, 1944 he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Bode in Alva, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on April 21, 2005. He did farm work before going to work for OSU as a Herdsman Supervisor. He also did landscaping work. He enjoyed fixing lawn mowers and riding horses. He is survived by three sons, Eldon Lamb of Stillwater, Floyd Lamb of Cleveland, Allen Lamb of Stillwater; two daughters, Juanita Heisler of Stillwater and Carolyn Tapscott of Nicaragua; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; Besides his wife Mary, he was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Lois Mittelstaedt, an infant son, five sisters and three brothers.
