HOPKINSVILLE KENTUCKIAN (Hopkinsville, Kentucky), Friday, September 29, 1899:
Mr. James Daniel, a well-known farmer, who lived on Muddy Fork, not far from Bainbridge, died Tuesday night, after an illness of nearly a year, of consumption. He was 55 years of age and leaves a wife and several children, besides a large circle of friends to mourn their loss. The remains were interred in the Thomas burying ground, near Cerulean Springs, Wednesday afternoon.
