William and Alwilda then removed to California around 1910 first settling in Norwalk , Los Angeles County, and then to Lordsburg where Ruth attended elementary School. Her family moved to Baldwin Park, where she attended and graduated from Covina High School.
She met and married Aaron Eaton, and they were married in a "surprise wedding". Friends and family were invited over to celebrate her step father's birthday, and as people visited, Ruth and Aaron went and picked up the minister, and came back and announced that there was also going to be a wedding today! Together they raised six children, one son, Clarence died at Birth. Aaron and Ruth lived their entire wedded life on their homestead, and family members still reside there today.
Ruth was predeceased by her son Clarence, daughters Mildred and Evelyn, husband Aaron. She is survived by her son Lester ( Betty) , daughters Vera Schroeder , Lois ( Jerry) Peters and Veta ( Thomas} Reid . Twenty three grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Ruth and her husband Aaron were founding members of Whittier Church of God, and members of the Buena Park Pioneers Trailer Club, and they enjoyed traveling around with their friends on many trips.
