WALLACE J ABRAHAM-52: Janesville, died in surgery Friday [8-31-1984] at StMarys Hosp in Rochester. MrAbraham was born 15 Apr 1932 in Smiths Mill, to John G & Irma (Fellows) Abraham. He attended Smiths Mill Grade School & guaduated from Janesville High school in 1950. He served in the US Army from 1952-1954 & continued in the Army Reserve until 1960, when he was discharged in the rank of sergeant first class. On 15 Feb 1958, he married Helen Marlene Strauss at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. He was employed by various firms, in television, & later in insurarance & sales. He moved to Janesville from Smiths Mill in 1981. MrAbraham played drums for the Armond Rezac Band in Owatonna for 27 years & for Schell's Hobo Band of NewUlm for several years. He was a member of the American Legion & of Voiture 281 of the 40 et 8, as well as of the Veterans of Foreign Wars-Waseca post. He was also a member of the Janesville United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Helen; a son JohnB; 2 daus: Becky (sp-Franklin) Miller & Lori Ann Abraham; his mother, Irma Abraham; & a grandchild-all of Janesville. His father, John Abraham, preceded him in death, as did a brother, Warren.
Service will be Tuesday afternoon [9-04] at the Janesville United Methodist Church, RevMargery Lisle officiating. Burial will be in Janesville Cem. Visitation is today at Arnoldt Funeral Home-Janesville & one hour before' services at the church.
