BORN KS, a son of Pearl Bruce--Cora Stoner; he wed Hazelle on 7 Aug 1922 in KansasCity MO

THOMAS H BRUCE: 92; Topeka, died Sunday [7-24] at a Topeka care center. He worked for the Topeka City engineering department & at one time was acting city engineer. He was born 12 Jul 1896 in Topeka, a son of Pearl Wil-lard & Cora Lee Stoner Bruce. He attended Topeka High School & Washburn University & spent his life in Topeka. MrBruce served with CompanyA of the 110th Engineers in the 35th Division overseas for 2yrs during WW2. His di-vision fought in the Argonne Forest where he was wounded. He received the Purple Heart award. He attended First Church of Christ Scientist. MrBruce was a member of Orient Lodge-51, AF&AM, a Veterans of Foregn Wars post & Avalair Friendship Travel Club.
He was married to HazelleE Kinne 7 Aug 1922 in KansasCity MO; she survives. Other survivor include a bro: Charles Bruce-Colorado Springs CO & a sis: Hazel Fichter-Topeka.
Graveside service will be Thursday [7-28] at Memorial Park Cem. Penwell-Gabel Funrl Home is in charge of arrangements.
